If you ever have the pleasure of meeting Eugene Stefanopoulos, the first thing you’ll notice is his balance. He is straight-cut and composed, yet disarmingly warm. Eugene can be deeply focused when it matters, but just as quick to laugh, putting people at ease without losing sight of the work at hand.
That balance — between discipline and humanity — sits at the core of everything he builds.
Eugene is a healthcare entrepreneur and the visionary behind Medpods, an Australian and New Zealand–based medical centre model designed to meet the realities of modern patient care. His work is driven by a simple but demanding question: how do we make healthcare more accessible, more efficient, and more humane — without compromising clinical integrity?
With over 20 years of international experience in medical centre management, telehealth, and medical assistance services, Eugene has developed a deep understanding of how healthcare systems affect people at every level. As Proprietor and Director of the Medpods Master Franchise, he leads operations, governance, and national expansion across Australia and New Zealand. His leadership is hands-on with a strong focus on removing friction from the patient experience — simplifying processes, improving ease of use, and building systems that are practical for clinicians and intuitive for patients.
As Medpods grew, Eugene saw that access to care was still limited by time, location, and circumstance. Medpods Telehealth was launched to bridge that gap — not to replace in-person care, but to extend it in a way that feels simple, intuitive, and patient-first. It reflects his belief that care should adapt to people’s lives, not the other way around.
Outside of Medpods, Eugene is a devoted family man and a proud father to three boys. Family grounds his perspective and reinforces his belief that healthcare should be built with integrity, empathy, and long-term impact in mind.
